The United States-Israel Enhanced Security Cooperation Act.

The Senate is currently examining a bill which would provide Israel with one of the biggest aid packages ever granted to the Jewish State. The United States-Israel Enhanced Security Cooperation Act of 2012, a version of which was recently passed by the House of Representatives, will broaden military cooperation between the two countries and will supply Israel with additional aircraft and munitions. President Barack Obama has in the past been criticized for his weak pro-Israeli stance.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney told a crowd who had gathered at the Hotel Des Moines in Iowa that President Barack Obama had increased the national debt by $5 trillion since entering the White House in January 2009. The former Massachusetts governor especially criticized the $787 billion stimulus Mr. Obama signed into law a month later.

The Obama campaign is planning to spend $25 million on advertising in nine swing states in the next four weeks. The announcement coincided with the release of a new USA Today / Gallup poll which showed that President Obama‘s lead had narrowed since a similar survey was conducted back in March.
